5 steps to clearer, more radiant skin

So you have a great makeup collection, and great brushes but still not happy with the overall finish of your look? It’s probably your skin. No matter how skilful you are with makeup application, you can’t beat naturally glowing, smooth radiant skin. So what’s the secret? We are going to share some tips that may help…

A solid skincare routine

This does not mean you need to go and spend a fortune on hundreds of fancy products. We suggest investing in a good cleanser & moisturiser that suits your skin and slowly build from there.  

Just like you never forget to brush your teeth, first thing in the morning and before you go to sleep.. cleanse and hydrate that skin, and you will notice the difference!

SPF is your new best friend 

As part of your morning/night time routine, add sunscreen if your moisturiser doesn’t already contain one. We recommend an SPF 30 or above; this will protect you from UVA & UVB. Protecting your skin from the elements prevents signs of ageing. 

Healthy diet & water intake

You can’t underestimate this norm. To look radiant, you’ve got to start eating right. This may sound cliché, but a balanced diet and a proper exercising routine can do wonders for the skin. Drinking 2-3 litres a day of water helps to keep you hydrated and that skin glowing! 

No excessive smoking

Excessive smoking causes premature wrinkles, fine lines and dull skin. It breaks down the collagen in your body, reducing the elasticity of your skin. Less collagen means more wrinkles.

Clean your everyday tools regularly

Things like your makeup brushes, cloth’s you use to remove makeup, pillowcases etc. These items are bacteria breeders if they are not washed regularly, which in turn will cause mayhem for your skin. The build-up of bacteria is the main culprit for random outbreaks of blemishes, so keep this in mind and don’t forget to clean.
